Mr. Andy Lewis, President of the Cape Henlopen School District's Board of Education, is an engineer with the international plastics testing and consulting firm, Lewis Research, Inc., and a vice-president of GMT Games  He and his wife, Carrie, have two children in the District; Wes is a 4th grader at Shields and Dan is a 7th grader at Beacon.  He has been the Lewes Little League President the past 4 years and enjoys sports, geo-caching, and boardgaming.  Andy joined the Board in 2009 as the Area C seat.

Sgt. Spencer Brittingham, Vice President of the Board of Education, was elected in 2006. He is a Correctional Sergeant with the State of Delaware.  Spencer is retired from the U.S. Military, where he served 25 years with the Active Marine Corps and the U.S. Army Reserve.  He also operates Spencer 4 Hire, a part time Moving and Confidential Projects Company.  Sgt. Brittingham is a member of the Marine Corps League and a Lifetime Member of VFW Post 7447.  Spencer and his wife Tamela Harmon Brittingham, live in Rehoboth Beach where they have raised five children, three Cape Graduates and two present Cape Middle Schoolers. Spencer and Tamela are proud members of the Cape Classes of 1983 and 1987 respectively.  Sgt. Brittingham will be a part of the Discipline and Athletics Committee for the 2012-2013 School Year.  Spencer prays for continued success for the Students, Staff and Direction of the Public School.  He thanks everyone for giving him the opportunity to serve.

Jennifer Burton represents the Area D seat on the Board and was elected in May of 2012.  She and her husband Rob are the parents of two children in the district and they reside in Rehoboth Beach.  Jennifer has a MBA from Wilmington University and an undergraduate degree in Communication from University of Delaware.  Jennifer is a Cape graduate from the class of 1983 and her husband of 21 years is a graduate from the class of 1981.  Since graduating from college she has gained valuable experience working for MBNA and University of Delaware and was the Town Manager for Henlopen Acres for 8 years.  She is currently the property manager/co-owner of two commercial space complexes in downtown Rehoboth called Church Street Associates LLC.  She wants to be the voice for the many parents in the district and increase the communication amongst the Board and the entire community.  Her main objective is to ensure this district provides a high quality education for all of its students.  Jennifer looks forward to working with all of the professionals in the district and help provide the best education that our children deserve.

Sandi Minard joined the Cape Henlopen Board of Education in July 2010 as the Area B representative. 

She lives in Milton with her three children; Casey a Cape Henlopen High School graduate, Natalie a Cape Henlopen High School senior and Shane a sixth grader at Mariner Middle.  Sandi is an active member of the Delaware Family Policy Council and the Education Concerns Chair for the 912 Delaware Patriots. Mrs. Minard will be the Board representative on the following committees: Arts, Technology and DSBA Legislative.Mrs. Minard is employed by Jack Lingo Realtor, Inc. as a Webmaster.

Dr. Roni Posner has been an English teacher, an assistant superintendent of schools and the executive director of several state and national educational organizations.  Currently, she is the Interim CEO/Executive Director of the Society for Acupuncture Research (www.acupunctureresearch.org), and she serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center in Falls Village, CT (www.isabellafreedman.org).  She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education/English, Speech and Dramatic Arts, and Master's and Doctoral degrees in Educational Administration.  She and her partner, Dr. Jeri Berc, a soil scientist and conservationist, have lived in Lewes since 1988 and are members of the Seaside Jewish Community.  They have a 4-acre farm in Milton where Cape students volunteer and learn about organic gardening, horses, beekeeping and poultry.  Their standard poodle, Stella Dorah, reads with Cape kindergardeners in the L.E.A.P. program, helping to instill the love of books and reading in our youngest students.

Noble W. Prettyman

Mr. Noble W. Prettyman is a native of Milton, Delaware. He was educated in the Delaware public school system and received his undergraduate degrees in secondary education and law and justice from Rowan University, formerly Glassboro State College, in Glassboro, New Jersey. He holds a masters degree in psychology from Rutgers University in North Brunswick, New Jersey. Mr. Prettyman serves on the Cape Henlopen School Board, Milton Town Council, Milton Historical Society, Friends of the Milton Library and numerous other organizations and committees. He has received several awards and recognitions including Outstanding and Dedicated Service Award as First Zoning Commisssioner in Milton, U.S. Department of Agriculture Award, and many recognitions from his service in the Vietnam War. Mr. Prettyman is dedicated to helping all people and is especially concerned with making sure all children get what they need to meet success.

Dr. Sara Wilkinson is a Milton native and graduate of Milton Consolidated Schools.  She has been a teacher and held several administrative roles during her 31-year tenure at Cape Henlopen Schools.  She is currently an adjunct professor for Wilmington University, where she received her doctoral degree in educational leadership and was the recipient of The 2003 Presidential Award for Educational Leadership.  Additionally, she serves as an educational consultant for local and state projects.  She and her husband, Ray, have two children, a daughter who is a counselor at Cape Henlopen High School, and a son, who is a reading specialist for a Washington, D.C. area school system.  She has two grandchildren, both of whom hold environmental degrees.
