Superintendent's Citizenship Honor Award The Superintendent's CiUtizenship Honor Award is an opportunity to recognize the large majority of middle school students who may not stand out academically, athletically, or artistically, but who do their best every day. They come to school regularly, they behave appropriately, they maintain their grades, and they serve their community by volunteering some of their free time. To be eligible for the award, a student must meet the following criteria in the course of one year: 1. No unexcused absences 2. No behavioral referrals to the office 3. No failing grades anywhere on the complete annual report card 4. Forty hours of volunteer service such as church work, babysitting, helping seniors, etc. Students who meet the requirements can apply with a form in each of the middle school offices. All applications must be received in the Superintendent's office by May 15th. Students who apply and qualify will receive special recognition and a framed special award from the superintendent. There is no limit on the number of award winners. |
