We have many goals this year. We need to continue to keep our students safe and our academic expectations high. Each student and grade should set the bar of excellence from the beginning of the year by staying on top of homework and classroom assignments with your best effort.
Behaviorally we must continue to adhere to the Positive Behavior Slogan, "To be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Safe". We must also continue to decrease our school and bus referrals. Overall our referrals droped by 58% from the previous year. Last year we had a many months of no bus referrals. Great Job!
We also have done a great job in decreasing the number of bullying incidents from last year. I have published web sites for student and parent use. Remember for every bullying situation there is a victim and a bully. Both need our attention and guidance. We, as parents, can help our children understand that discipline is a positive tool that aids in the shaping of great citizens.
Parents, please help us help your children. If an incident or change occurs within your family that you feel could effect your child's performance, please let the school know. Often we find that the student who gets in trouble is reacting to an incident that has occurred outside of school. The sooner we know of a potential problem, the sooner we can address it.
